Governor Christie for president; Can his body handle the run for president?

They want him badly, but can his body withstand the election or the job?

Watching the current slate of republicans running for office, there is no clear front-runner or shining star that stands out for the republican party.  The great hope is that Governor Christie, the reformer of NJ will run.  They have been using him for fund-raising, wining and dining him and major contributors are asking him to run, since there is no clear unifier as a candidate for president with the current people who want to be president.

Christie, as any NJ resident will tell you, takes no prisoners while pushing his agenda, but he also knows when to negotiate to get a job done.  He is rough around the edges, will take anyone to the mat on political issues until he gets what he wants. Another reason he is liked is that he does not try to placate the tea party, which has left the republicans in disarray, which is unlike the other candidates. He also has managed to reform some of NJ’s worst abuses, cancelled the tunnel to NY, which possibly could have been a huge money pit, deeper than the experts suggested.

He does not fit the classic mold of the successful presidential candidate though.  Many of us have the vision of the handsome candidate, with charisma who is physically fit.  Many of us also have visions of presidents, such as Clinton who would go for his daily run surrounded by security agents as they stay in shape to handle the rigors of the office.

Christie, on the other hand, can likely barely run a block.  Looking at the picture above, he is knock knees (his has to get knee and shin pain), is built asymmetrically, which will create back and neck pain and this has to take a toll on his ability to function as a governor (something, many NJ folks are overall happy with).  He has also had some health scares as well such as the asthma issue last July (being overweight like this can affect breathing).

Imagine, for a moment if he ran, survived the grueling campaign and then won.  Being president is a tough job and you do need to be both physically and mentally capable, at all times during your four years.  Should they hire Richard Simmons to take the weight off and whip him in shape?  How about the crew from the biggest looser, who has a track record for doing this?  A thinner, leaner meaner Christie?  Now that is food for thought. Of course, he has some body style issues, but less weight on this frame can enable him to succeed at running for the presidency.

Of course, he has not agreed to run, but one never knows, does one.  If he does, it should make a compelling election.

What do you think? Please feel free to leave your comments.

John Boehner Backs Obama On Far-Reaching Debt Ceiling Plan. Do You Wonder How His Back Has Been Feeling lately?

Check out John Boehner's stance (the non political one I mean)

John Boehner has had the back-breaking task of negotiating with the president, and members of his political partiy to come up with a solution for the nations debt crisis.  Hopefully, it will finally come together for both of them and make sense as public policy to protect the dollar, and our economy.

Upon looking more closely at Mr. Boehner, I have noticed a number of things about his stance (literally)!  I found quite a number of photos of  the house speaker on the internet.  A number of things are common to all of them. Notice is right shoulder always hangs forward.  This typically means that his right foot flares out.  If you notice the middle photo of him on the golf course, you can see this is indeed the case and he has an asymmetrical body style, with the right foot flaring out, the left foot not as much and we see it  as his right shoulder leans forward.  Typically, someone who is built this way will have the right hip lower which will cause the pelvis to torque.  This is the most common presentation of back pain.  The right side will tighten up, the left side strains and he likely experiences lower back pain and possibly left hip or leg discomfort.  People with this type of build may also experience left knee pain and left shoulder pain as well, with chronic tightness into the neck, often blamed on stress.

Back on the golf course, it looks as if Mr. Boehner is leaning on his golf club on the right and holding his lower back on the left (notice the hand placement).  It looks like his back is indeed uncomfortable as he stood with the president and I hear he is a very good golfer.

I have a couple of free suggestions for the house speaker.  First, if you do not wear them already, you may wish to consider seeing someone and getting foot orthotics.  It would improve your already good game of golf and help level your pelvis.  The other suggestion is to consider seeing a good chiropractor (I understand that this service is available to congress people through the American Chiropractic Association).

Eventually, I would love to speak with Mr. Boehner, if he is so inclined and find out if my analysis is correct. This is of course, following the many clues in the public domain photos I have been able to find.

By the way, good luck on the debt situation; it’s not easy to balance competing agendas when the goal is to ultimately get the country back on a solid fiscal course.

NJ Senator Stephen Sweeney Believes he has Been Painfully Bullied by Governor Christie. What Other Pain Might he be Experiencing?

Other than the pain of dealing with Governor Christie, what other pain might he be experiencing?

Senator Sweeney recently had called Governor Christie a “mean bastard” because of his way of bullying those who stand in his way of reform.  For Senator Sweeney, dealing with the Governor and trying to find compromises that reform NJ has been a painful process.

Looking at his posture, I noticed a few things that may be creating other types of pain as well.  Notice, his right shoulder hangs forward in all the photos.  Typically, this means that his right foot would turn out.  I also notice in the photos that he tends to lean his head to the right somewhat, meaning that there is more muscular tension on this side when compared to the left.  This type of asymmetrical build will typically cause him to understride on the right side and overstride on the left, which will create hip and back pain on the left, tightness on the right and he likely also experiences left shoulder-blade tightness or pain.  He may even experience headaches from this. It is also possible that he experience knee pain on the left because this type of body style will tighten the left hip flexors, oblique muscles in his stomach region as well as his IT band and his quadracep muscle on the left, affecting the kneecap and the way it tracks.

Some advice for Senator Sweeney ( I have heard through the grapevine he is a chiropractic patient); you would definitely benefit from foot orthotics.  Also, I have to admire him because unlike some politicians, he definitely has a spine.

Eventually, I would love to speak with Senator Sweeney, if he is so inclined and find out if my analysis is correct.

Good luck on your  future dealings with the governor. While it certainly has been unpleasant for you, he has certainly met his match!

Governor Christie of NJ is avoiding the headache of running for president, but does he have neck pain and regular headaches? His body style gives us clues.

Governor Christie wants to avoid the headaches of running the country, but he may have other types of headaches because of how he is built.

Governor Christie has been busy trying to reshape NJ government, he has been also hounded by his political party to seek the presidential nomination.  What a headache and a big pain in the neck!  Speaking of headaches and pains in the neck, I had been looking over some recent  photos of him in action.

He is a big guy with a so so frame, and in all his photos, I noticed his left shoulder leaning forward.  Typically, this means the foot on that side will flare out and from the look of the middle photo of him standing, he is knock knees (knees bow in).  He also likely has low arches or flat feet, with the problem being worse on the left side.  With someone with this type of frame, and the extra weight, I believe he likely suffers from periodic lower back pain on the right and tightness in the right shoulder-blade pulling into the neck.

Governor Christie can certainly benefit from the use of foot orthotics which will help protect his knees and improve his body symmetry.  A good chiropractor would also be quite helpful too!

Eventually, I would love to speak with the governor, if he is so inclined and find out if my analysis is correct.

Good Luck Governor Christie on reshaping NJ.  That is quite a job you have taken.  I certainly can understand why you would not run for higher offices at this time (namely the presidency) since you have your hands full and applaud you for sticking with your goal of cleaning up NJ.

Newt Gingrich has presidential campaign headaches that are more than just a pain in the neck

Newt Gingrich posture study

Poor Newt!  His top echelon of people who were preparing him for a run for the 2012 president campaign.  Now, he had to deal with those headaches, however, I also noticed a few things which also are likely creating other pains in both the back and the neck.

Looking closely at dozens of photos of Newt, I noticed that his right shoulder leans forward, as his head leans to the right.  Typically, this means his right foot turns out.  He is not very round-shouldered as far as I can see, so I believe he has arches in his feet (a good thing).  The bad thing is that if his right foot turns out and his left foot does not, he will most certainly have lower back pain at times and may even feel it in the left side into the shoulder-blade and the neck and shoulder (His presidential campaign is not the only pain in the neck).

As a rule, people who walk this way because they are built this way have a short stride on the side of foot flare and also tighten in the opposite quadracep, a common cause of knee pain.

Eventually, I would love to speak with Newt, if he is so inclined and find out if my analysis is correct.  I think I have a better than 80% chance I am. Good luck Newt!
