Governor Christie for president; Can his body handle the run for president?

They want him badly, but can his body withstand the election or the job?

Watching the current slate of republicans running for office, there is no clear front-runner or shining star that stands out for the republican party.  The great hope is that Governor Christie, the reformer of NJ will run.  They have been using him for fund-raising, wining and dining him and major contributors are asking him to run, since there is no clear unifier as a candidate for president with the current people who want to be president.

Christie, as any NJ resident will tell you, takes no prisoners while pushing his agenda, but he also knows when to negotiate to get a job done.  He is rough around the edges, will take anyone to the mat on political issues until he gets what he wants. Another reason he is liked is that he does not try to placate the tea party, which has left the republicans in disarray, which is unlike the other candidates. He also has managed to reform some of NJ’s worst abuses, cancelled the tunnel to NY, which possibly could have been a huge money pit, deeper than the experts suggested.

He does not fit the classic mold of the successful presidential candidate though.  Many of us have the vision of the handsome candidate, with charisma who is physically fit.  Many of us also have visions of presidents, such as Clinton who would go for his daily run surrounded by security agents as they stay in shape to handle the rigors of the office.

Christie, on the other hand, can likely barely run a block.  Looking at the picture above, he is knock knees (his has to get knee and shin pain), is built asymmetrically, which will create back and neck pain and this has to take a toll on his ability to function as a governor (something, many NJ folks are overall happy with).  He has also had some health scares as well such as the asthma issue last July (being overweight like this can affect breathing).

Imagine, for a moment if he ran, survived the grueling campaign and then won.  Being president is a tough job and you do need to be both physically and mentally capable, at all times during your four years.  Should they hire Richard Simmons to take the weight off and whip him in shape?  How about the crew from the biggest looser, who has a track record for doing this?  A thinner, leaner meaner Christie?  Now that is food for thought. Of course, he has some body style issues, but less weight on this frame can enable him to succeed at running for the presidency.

Of course, he has not agreed to run, but one never knows, does one.  If he does, it should make a compelling election.

What do you think? Please feel free to leave your comments.

Rick Perry’s prayer rally in houston was about his presidential run in 2012. Should he also pray for better body mechanics too?

Rick Perry is gearing up for a presidential run for 2012

Rick Perry’s prayer rally in Houston was about his presidential run in 2012. Should he also pray for better body mechanics too?

Rick Perry held a prayer rally in Houston this past weekend as a prelude to his presidential campaign which has yet to officially be announced.  As many of us have already seen, the headaches of leadership and the presidency are amazing. I decided to give the Governor a closer look biomechanically, that is

While looking at the governor, I noticed his right shoulder in all the photos leans forward.  This is typically caused by a body style where the foot flares out.  If you look at the right foot in the full body shot, it does.  This will drop his hip on the right side and the right leg will tend to hit the ground harder with a short stride.  The opposite side, the left hip will tend to strain giving rise to left lower back pain.  I am guessing his neck is tight as well and he fees tension in his left shoulder-blade.  I would also not be surprised if he from time to time experiences left knee pain based on his body style.

Eventually, I would love to speak with Governor Perry, if he is so inclined and find out if my analysis is correct. This is of course, following the many clues in the public domain photos I have been able to find.

Good luck on your eventual presidential 2012 run.  While you are in your prayers, you may wish to also pray for good foot orthotics too.  They may help eliminate back and knee pain during the grueling campaign process.

Senate GOP leader Mitch McConnell and Harry Reid are busily hammering out a debt ceiling plan. What other painful issues does he deal with?

Politically, Mitch McConnell is no slouch but we cannot say the same for his overall posture

Senator Mitch McConnell is quite busy trying to hammer out the details for a compromise debt ceiling deal.  What a pain in the butt.  Judging from the senators over posture (the physical, not the political one), he quite likely has some issues.

I had found a number of photos of him on the internet.  If you look at his shoulders, his right shoulder leans forward and he tends to lean his head slightly to the right.   Typically, this is seen when someone has either low arches, or flat feet on the same side which causes the hip to drop.  In response to this, the myofascia in his core muscles will tighten and he will under stride on that side and over stride on the opposite side.  The legs will also tighten and he likely gets lower back pain and I would also expect him to feel tension in the shoulders and neck as well.

When we look at the full view of how he stands and walks, this confirms our suspicions from the paragraph above (note, his right foot does toe out even though it is in a back step and his left foot appears more neutral, which would result in his left side having a better posture.

The combination of two sides working differently is a recipe for back pain, neck pain, headaches and he probably has had problems in his right calf or may even have had plantar fasciitis .

Eventually, I would love to speak with Senator. McConnell , if he is so inclined and find out if my analysis is correct. This is of course, following the many clues in the public domain photos I have been able to find.

Good luck on solving the debt ceiling problems. Hopefully, you and the other senators and representatives will find a solution everyone can live with.

John Boehner Backs Obama On Far-Reaching Debt Ceiling Plan. Do You Wonder How His Back Has Been Feeling lately?

Check out John Boehner's stance (the non political one I mean)

John Boehner has had the back-breaking task of negotiating with the president, and members of his political partiy to come up with a solution for the nations debt crisis.  Hopefully, it will finally come together for both of them and make sense as public policy to protect the dollar, and our economy.

Upon looking more closely at Mr. Boehner, I have noticed a number of things about his stance (literally)!  I found quite a number of photos of  the house speaker on the internet.  A number of things are common to all of them. Notice is right shoulder always hangs forward.  This typically means that his right foot flares out.  If you notice the middle photo of him on the golf course, you can see this is indeed the case and he has an asymmetrical body style, with the right foot flaring out, the left foot not as much and we see it  as his right shoulder leans forward.  Typically, someone who is built this way will have the right hip lower which will cause the pelvis to torque.  This is the most common presentation of back pain.  The right side will tighten up, the left side strains and he likely experiences lower back pain and possibly left hip or leg discomfort.  People with this type of build may also experience left knee pain and left shoulder pain as well, with chronic tightness into the neck, often blamed on stress.

Back on the golf course, it looks as if Mr. Boehner is leaning on his golf club on the right and holding his lower back on the left (notice the hand placement).  It looks like his back is indeed uncomfortable as he stood with the president and I hear he is a very good golfer.

I have a couple of free suggestions for the house speaker.  First, if you do not wear them already, you may wish to consider seeing someone and getting foot orthotics.  It would improve your already good game of golf and help level your pelvis.  The other suggestion is to consider seeing a good chiropractor (I understand that this service is available to congress people through the American Chiropractic Association).

Eventually, I would love to speak with Mr. Boehner, if he is so inclined and find out if my analysis is correct. This is of course, following the many clues in the public domain photos I have been able to find.

By the way, good luck on the debt situation; it’s not easy to balance competing agendas when the goal is to ultimately get the country back on a solid fiscal course.

Anthony Weiner had a tough week. His back has to be killing him. Find out why here.

Anthony Weiner is not only in political pain, his back is killing him too

Anthony Weiner had a tough week. He got busted because he had some fun on twitter and unfortunately, it was with women outside his marriage.  Lets look a little bit closer. If you notice, his right shoulder in each photo hangs forward and down.  Typically, this means his right foot turns out which will cause his hip to drop on that side.  Since this will tighten his core muscles (mid back section) unevenly, he is likely experiencing torquing of the pelvis which creates left hip pain, possible left groin tightness  due to compensation (no relationship to the twitter photo in question of this area) and his left shoulder-blade is likely killing him.

There is also a great probability that he has flat feet (typically, the more the feet turn out and the arches fall in, the more rounded the shoulders become which is seen in all photos).

I would love to interview him personally and see if I have it right.  Based on his body style, I am likely right about most of this.
